I'm using a Yamaha keyboard connected to a Korg NS5R sound module which is being controlled by a PC running Emagic SoundDiver v3.0.
Now the setup is working and things are going great, but I need to change the sounds very quickly and at specific points.
At some of these points, the player is playing a note and when I change the sound, the note that is being played is sustained and I need to reset the sound module.
Does anyone know how to get around this problem? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

Richard

Welcome, Richard.

I'm not sure I understand your problem and I don't know about your particular synth. Some models can not sustain notes when they receive a program change, and some can. If your synth is in the first category, you might try to see what happens if your use multiple MIDI channels instead of sending program changes. This assumes you have enough available MIDI channels.

Some synths just plain won't do what you want. The Clavia Nord synths are notorious for this. Send them a program change and all notes are stopped.

I'm not sure this helps. Like I said, I don't have any personal experience with the Korg NS5R.
