the friedly little voice in my head have asked: how this would sound? answer: dont know, but i can simulate it for u sugar

i could imagine that buffering the in&outs could make sense

can't go wrong with some unicorn magic dwarf

are the pots wired as voltage dividers (connected to GND) ?

@PHOBoS : I think they are being used as variable resistors here?

we all need some magic from time to time!

yes they are used as variable resistors here, not as voltage dividers

would love to hear how it worked out on breadboard Smile

ah ok, thanks guys Very Happy

I think I'll give this a try with some squarewaves as it might be fun for lunetta's. I do think it would be wise to add
an extra resistor in series with the second pot (connected to the base of Q1/Q2) to limit the current a bit.

when u only use SQR´s i could imagine that a little filtering could pep-up the results

i guess the maximum current here is determinated by R2, so i would also test it with basis-resistor going to zero, may some magic could happen there Smile

well it processes the waves in a rather unpredicted way using raw force, just throw it in and press it, like when they have mangled the sheets back in the days

Wow. I love this circuit, it is a weird mix between a VCA, ring mod and wave folder. I tried to simulate it with the falstad circuit app, this circuit spits out some beautiful waves. I attached an audio of the simulation, sorry for the poor quality (recorded it with the audio note function from my tablet) Laughing

I mixed the two outputs with a potentiometer...
