Thanks, I just put in an order for one... the socket for the SN in the socket kit, is that for a wide or a thin body SN? I figure if you're getting this many orders this fast, I'd better acquire my SN now, lest our sources dry up!

It's for the wide body. The Thin Mill-Max socket was a bit steep in price. I just soldered mine to the PCB .... I still have a good supply of boards, about 30 left !!!

AY-89xx series huh? I have 2 or three of those as well!

Glad I scored my boards now. I'm not suprised they are selling so quick.

Yeah, I'm more worried about the sudden availability of an sn76477 project that everyone's building would sink the current sources of the chip ;0)

So I just ordered a wide body so I know that'll be here!

Thanks for getting these done up, ought to play nicely with my MIDINES and MIDIbox SID-NUXX (not to mention the modular!).

LOL!!!

So Cov has been gentrified too?

Squeezed out by a yuppie wielding a pasta machine? Shocked

Well, I'm not sure if I'd say it has or not.
You could come to both conclusions at first glance,
but change your mind upon closer inspection.

Pasta machine!?

I have a few guitar/bass pedal ideas to get out of the way first, but
I think I'll try this project.
If not, I think the SN chip would make a good drum voice Smile

Shipping is cheap worldwide or in the US.
Does anyone have a datasheet on the 76488, I have the 76477 but no 76488

Thanks to all who have been buying these lately and all orders are on the way,

20 boards left! It's been a busy week! I kept two for myself and want to get rid of the remaining 20. Thanks to everyone who purchased PCB's and connectors thus far.

Whatever is left, I will try to sell on Ebay since "SVdistributing", an Ebay store, is selling SN76477's and other groovy sound chips from TI, GI, NS, etc .. I will also link Arcade chips website as well since they have done us good!.

Thanks again,
Bill

Looks nice !! Good job. I took the liberty to post your panel, I hope you don't mind.

I have one suggestion, you might want to make the numerics around all the pots just a bit larger. They (1 to 10) sort of get lost. making them larger will improve this. Also, make sure the radius is large to accommodate the knob. Very Happy

Just a bit of constructive critique.

Bill

What are the panel dimensions just out of curiosity?

Hi

I just use ms paint hahaha and the schaeffer software.
I am not happy about the knob scales yet they are to thin.
When i get at work this night i'll ask a collega to make some nicer ones in viso.
He is pretty good in viso and i will convert them to hpgl then.
Sorry i am not sure about the panel size yet but it is the exact size of a double size Cyndustries blank panel.

Hopefully i get a reply on my email about purchasing some boards Smile
Now i am gonna design some panels for the standard wogglebug.

I could knock up a front panel in Solidworks and save it as a DWG/DXF/STL file if you want?

hey mono-poly. this panel really looks nice. its good to have that much space on a frontpanel (i build in eurorack format Sad ).

you have a pot for PWM. i can't find it on the schem. maybe you did the same mistake as me and took the 3pos turning switch for a pwm pot or do you plan to do such a mod?
or maybe i just missed something...

mono-poly:
Um....who's Thomas Hendry? You might want to give Thomas Henry credit on the panel. He doesn't seem like the jealous type, but you never know!

The only problem i have now that the BMP i got for the pot scaling almost match the ones used with Modcan/Cyndustries.
If someone could help me out with a better design that would be so great!

Yeah Fonik i did use your design a bit for the panel to look if i had all contacts/pots/switches so that's how i made the same mistake Shocked

Oow yeah what a stupid typo about Thomas his last name.
Gonna have this all fixed tomorow.
