Hi,
I can't get Clavia's editor to use my Elektron TM-1 MIDI interface in Win XP, so I thought I'd give NOMAD's pre-release a spin. I can get as far as selecting the ports and connecting to the synth, and that's it. There's a green light under "synth", but no indication that anything else works. Slot upload and downloads do nothing, and I can't grab anything from the NM1 {does NOMAD support bulk downloads, yet?} - indeed, I can't see anything on the NM1, period.
I'm a bit stuck, because the TM-1 is the only interface I brought with me, and it works for everything else. Any pointers are appreciated. _________________ yours,

| Take a look in "nomad.log" which should be in the same directory as the nomad.jar file, it should provide some error detail that can be helpful in troubleshooting. |

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I just started reading the forums again because of lack of time. First, the green status LED has not very much meaning. It only says that Nomad "thinks" it is connected but not whether midi messages were sent/received. Anyway since you say that the official editor is not working with the interface too it is very likely that the midi interface makes the trouble. Maybe you can find out if you are using the latest drivers and that they are compatible with XP. Also make sure you run the official editor in "compatibility mode". If you get the official editor running then Nomad should work too.
Take a look at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/appcompat.mspx
and go to the section "Set Compatibility Properties Manually".
I don't know the right settings for clavias editor though. Just try out the given options.
Ah and don't do this in Nomad - it does not require the compatibility mode
