Store with G2 expander in stock? |
 |
|
I finally bought a G2 Engine. It's great. I love it.
A couple weeks later I ordered a G2 expansion board, also from Musician's Friend. First they said it was backordered and it would be 2-3 weeks. Now 3 weeks later, they say it will be another 30 days. Rats!!
Does anybody know where I can buy a G2 expander?
Thanks - Robert |

| Yeah, I bought my G2 from them. They were selling the G2 + expander + gig bag + some Waldorf soft synths for $50 more than the G2 alone. Still are, actually. |

Yeah, I got that bundle, too. Great deal. I also includes a gooseneck mic. _________________ My music: http://cdbaby.com/all/fac |

How do you use the gooseneck mic with the G2? Isn't it too short? (fits perfectly on the G2X) _________________ www.gregwaltzer.com |

Actually, I haven't used it much, but when I tested it, the length was fine for me; you may have to bend down a little to reach it, though. One thing I didn't like, is that the mic stays a bit loose in the G2 XLR connector, but it's no big deal, as long as you don't wiggle it too much. _________________ My music: http://cdbaby.com/all/fac |

I found that I had to lean too far over the keyboard to be able to use the mic easily. But there's a simple solution: Shure A412B. That's a weighted metal base with a female XLR connector on the top and a cord with a male XLR connector at the other end. Plug that connector into the back of your G2 and put the base wherever you want. |

I can just plug the mic on my 1202 VLZ mixer (which has the XLR jacks on top) and use the corresponding channel insert to route it to the G2. _________________ My music: http://cdbaby.com/all/fac |

Of course.
However, I don't have enough room for a mixer on the desk next to my G2 and the A412B fits just fine. Moreover, why tie up a whole mixer? You might want it for something else. |
