Microsoft Says Will Appeal Negative EU Ruling

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Microsoft expects a negative antitrust decision from the European Commission next week and plans to appeal to European Union courts in a long process, a company official said on Thursday.

This case .. (or actually the whole campaign against MS) is pretty messy. yes, I believe the MS crowd is guilty of some foul play, but this kind of anti-trust case can happen whenever a business gets large and dominant.

If the EU gets involved with Microsoft in a long protracted legal battle, that could be costly for them. You guys in Europe might have a tax increase. Wink

Nope.. not soon.. 5 weeks at least..
and then they will know if I can get ADSL.. if not i will have to go for cable access.. but that kind of broadband access is not exempted from tax if my employeer pays the bill.. long story.. anyway.. I have to have broadband access at least 1 megabit or faster.. because of the job I have.. so.. hmm.. and I had preferred my employeer would pay this bill.
-But.. the phone system is a mess where I now live.. so there might be a 50/50 chance of me being connected to the wroing wires.. and that means I either have to pay the phonecompany 20 000 euro in order to have them rewire the wires.. or go for cable access.. and who owns the cable access network here? Who else but the phone company.. ?

Right now I am installing 15 new macs.. i am doing a scripted installation using OS X Server network install.. which means right now I am looking at progress bars and waiting for the process to finish. After that I will be busy again.. Seems like I will be busy until like 16.00 PM friday afternoon. And I have been here doing this since like 7.00 Am thursday.
