Yesterday I ordered a Nord Rack 2X at a local dealer here in Canada. None of their 27 stores across Canada had one in stock. Is this an ominous sign?
Are they no longer in production? What to do?

Maybe about Canada? Smile
Here in The Netherlands the synth is still available, although many stores haven't any in stock. The synth is over its 'hot days', for sure, but on the Frankfurter Messe it was still standing in front of the booth.

I received a prompt reply from Jonas at Nord:

'The nord lead 3 is discontinued and will be replaced by the nord wave later this year. The nord lead 2X is still in production, and hopefully will be for a long time to come!'

I will have to see how well the supply lines from Armadillo (in the US) to the Canadian rep. to my dealer works!?!

thanx...

I bought mine second hand from eBay (less than 600€), and I don't regret it a bit. It seems to be very well bu¡lt and sounds much better than I expected, it's going to stay at home for a long time Very Happy

I'ts a classic, its sound is authentic and although the 3 led screen is far from ideal the interface is just a joy to use. My advice, get it!

I have re-discovered my Micro Modular... so until the Rack 2x arrives I will spend my time loading Nord Lead sounding patches in it! Besides, spring has arrived here in Canada and sitting outside with a beer is a good way to wait.

thanx
