I just bought a secondhand Nocon F timer on ebay! These things are like gold dust Very Happy Very Happy

For all those uninitiated out there, the Nocon F was designed by the American photographic printing guru Gene Nocon, who devised this system of printing using f-stops instead of just 'blocks of time'- obvious really.

more blurb here;

http://www.rhdesigns.co.uk/darkroom/html/f-stop_printing.html

I don't know that many who get excited over a darkroom timer especially in these days of Photoshop et al- but I certainly do!! Laughing

A proper old fashioned darkrom for medium and large format printing is on the wishlist when we eventually get a larger pad.
btw: that timer of yours seems pretty useful.

Yeah the zone stuff was pretty fun Twisted Evil but it's so much easier to print well from large format anyway. 35mm was always a challenge (but a great challenge it was! Very Happy )

I used to have a lovely old Beseler enlarger too- with a fantastic easel too, which I can't remember the name of.

Did you know that Agfa went and discontinued Record Rapid?? Crying or Very sad Lovely paper. What a shame Sad

Me too. I had a Stag timer (crap- 30 seconds max), an old Devere thingie with a huge glowing front panel and also a Meopta- which I eventually settled down with.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a secondhand Hasselblad (they are so cheap right now), but then this came along. I loved taking pictures (and of course still do), but the best part was always the darkroom. I spent days in there.

Well, when I say cheap hehe- by Hasselblad prices.... Laughing

I saw a 500c/m with an 80mm 2.8 for £350. Although people fuss over the T* range of lenses, the silver syncro ones are still pretty good- as long as one doesn't want to point them into the sun- but then again, I like flare....maybe I'm strange?? Laughing
