Sysex Controller Change Messages Subject description: I need the specification for sending controller change messages via sysex |
 |
|
Hi all,
I'm trying to write some controller software for the Lead and am having trouble with the sysex implementation. The manual only covers sysex dumps and does not detail sending controller change messages. Can anyone tell me the message values I need to send to change, say, the filter type value?
Regards,
Stephen. |

Erm for which Nord Lead?
Ok, for the 2x it's in the manual at page 103 or so, in the MIDI implementation section.
For the 2 idem, starting at page 91.
For the 3 idem at page 143.
And for the old NL1 I can't find a manual at clavia's site - so that's the one you mean probably _________________ Jan

Thanks for the reply and teh welcome!
Its for the Nord Rack 2. I found the MIDI implementation specs in the manual but could not find anything referring to the SysEx values for controller change messages. |

Ah right, now I see the problem
Controller messages are not sysex, but messages that are formatted just like note on/off messages i.e an opcode combined with a channel number in the first byte, the CC number in the 2nd byte and the value in the 3rd.

And now we are very curious what you want to program. Just in case, because maybe it is already somewhere...

I have a Nord Lead 1, and it's manual, for future reference.
I've got pretty good with the CCs on it. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

I suggest you post it here for anyone in need to find, yes?
Put it in an attachment.
