My First post! - New track |
 |
|
My first ever post here!!!
This track was inspired by acid house and is supposed to be uplifting (not trance). EQUIP: Nord modular synth, RM1x sequencer, sp-808 sampler.
And soon I’ll be getting some electric bagpipes to use as a midi controller. Yes! Electric bagpipes (played them for 9 years so I figure it will give me some more flexibility).
Track is called TekkaTrexx

Tell me what you think! (note: do NOT mock the band name I chose…..ugh) |

its just the chanter part (the part you actually play), it would be a bit pointless having everything else!
Check it out --> www.deger.com
BTW - I LOVE your studio setup (on your website) - Sigh - All my stuff is second hand... I need money but then you can get too obsessed with getting more equipment - bah! I want an access virus damn it! - waaaaah! |

Cool! I like Scottish music.
Does this offer breath control when used as a midi controller?
My studio is now in storage while I'm looking for a new house.
The new setup will probably be smaller. |

Kieranski. Glad to have you here.
Your track really rocks. It has more variety than most stuff in this genre, a big plus in my opinion.

Thanks for the positive feedback!!!!
No, I've never played live - but as soon as I've finished year 12 (only about 50 days left - woooooh) I'd love to. Most if not all of my stuff is sequenced on the RM1x. The recording on soundclick is me just triggering the parts on the rm1x and tweaking the synth so playing live wouldn’t be any problem. The other thing is I live out in the country-side, so transporting my stuff would be hard, BUT next year I’m moving up to Melbourne to do a sound engineering course – very exited!
About those electric bagpipes – I have played them before (one of the people in our band had one) and the mouth piece is just there for support. The note holes have contact thingies on them which trigger the sound (or midi output). You can also change the key they are in (pipes are normally in B-flat). The manual on the website ^^^ has got lots of info. I have e-mailed the guy who makes them and I haven’t got a reply yet, but I saw them advertised on another website and I think they are about $440 usd.
Cheers!!! |

What do you mean "finished year 12"? The twelfth grade? |

In Australia our education system has primary school and secondary school.
Primary is prep to 6 – High school is 7 to 12 - so in other words I'm finished with school for good!!!! - Next year – University!!! |

Congrats on finishing school "for good", but some people might consider a university a school
In the USA, some people consider the university a site for a four year party. |
