cwejman Adsr tuning |
 |
|
i wondered from the beginning on why the audiooutput-level get's lower when i use the Adsr with the VCA-4MX
yesterday i worked with a Doepfer A-140 Adsr and i was surprised that the output level is noticeable louder (and matches the original volume)
so i changed the dip-switches on the Cwejman Adsr to 8V output and turned down the DC out
the result was the same as with the Doepfer Adsr - the output level is now as loud as without Adsr and it's much more dynamical
i also checked with an oscilloscope: the Doepfer Adsr had approxemately 4V out, the Cwejman in it's 5V setting only 2.5 - 3v - now it goes almost to 5V (what i would expect from the 5V setting) |

How did you turn down the DC out?
Without any adjustments the peak levels of ADSR-VC2 should be 5V or 8V.
My VCA-4MX gives unity gain with 5V CV, if the corresponding level knob is at full clockwise position (I haven't touched the gain trim pots). With 8V envelopes I more often turn the level(s) down to avoid clipping. |

on the back of the Adsr are two little screw to turn the DC out a little bit down - it's nowhere documented
yes thought the Adsr should peak at 5V or 8V - it doesn't - i can clearly see that - with the 8v setting and turned down Dc Out i'm coming close to 5v |
