This morning every thing is playing in double time. As far as I can tell my system thinks the CPU clock is 1/2 what it actually is. I'm stumped.

No star gate here (but god's plenty of churches which I am assured are even better, but I wouldn't know). The problem disappeared after taking the power off of all gear simultaneously. Singely didn't do it. (?) The problem began after running a .wav file.

I think I'll not try running it again.

Hmm.. I knew I guy once who used to be like that.. but then he stopped working. He was a drummer.

That’s Lord Byron (“mad, bad, and dangerous to know”), so named because he was a bit wild when he was a calf. He matured to be quite gentle. It takes a while to learn to read the bovine face and perhaps a larger view is less scary. But I’ll put Harley back up for a while.

g2ian, if that compliment was for me, thanks. I do try for the surreal, as that is how I experience life as a primate--very surreal. For a change of pace: I expect the current avatar is sufficiently bland as to be neither disturbing nor scary, and not interesting.

seraph: I like your new avatar, "dimensional note on pebbled beach with dramatic cloudy sky.” Classically surreal!

I like cows. I've always thought they were sort of like astral surfers. When I've spent time with them it seemed to me that their consciousness was very far off. Like the cow body is an anchor and they sort of tour and maintain the spaces we don't go to much.

Just curious. What hardware are you running in this machine that doubles time?
