BTW: I know what "etaoin" means. Do I win anything?
Embarrasingly, I'm still waiting for a few parts, so I still don't have a functioning Mankato. Doh! Servo's got 2 -- or is it 3, now?

If you count the original prototype, then it's 3. The original sits in a metal box and while it doesn't have the 6 or 18dB outputs, is still a very handy VCF/VCLFO/Slew/Inverter/Swiss Army Knife/Box of Chocolates module to have around. I'll probably keep the original as is (rather than mounting it in a rack with other modules) because the standalone box has its own power supply and so it's easy to share around at shows and gatherings. Also, it looks like crap but it's a bit of history (this is the unit that Gino Robair reviewed for the Electronic Musician analog module roundup).

I'm sorry to say that you are mistaken, as it is the 18dB output on both
The drum box, by the way, is a humble Boss DR-220e. The only thing I have that can take sync pulses from the MFOS sequencer... |
18dB... Okay, John guessed that one correctly! I love the metallic/heterodyning sounds you get when the filter is alllllmost oscillating. Again, neat samples!

I gotta wait to get home to check out the juicy samples can't get them here.
Only thing I still have is the breadboard. Klee is drinking up my time in copious quantities at the moment.
Cheers,

Etaoin,
I love this sample! It's great to finally get to hear the Mankato in the hands of others. It's got so many "sides" to it.
Cheers,

I think it means you'd do anything for that one additional piece of gear....including those things your mom would prefer you didn't know about the dictionary definition of slut. _________________ My Site |

ok, i'm not english nativ,
a gear slut is just like a black whole ( just to need Words my mom would prefer to hear ),
you put Synths in that whole but it never fills up.
Means: you can buy them all, but you never will be satisfied.
thats how i understand it
btw.: just lacquered my two Frontpanels for my Mankatos.
Both boards are to 95% populated.
looking now forward that somebody will wiring them up ...... ......
i hate wiring with shilded cables. It was not successfull in the past. and eurorack format is really small, theres no space for that fat cabling.
well, but i'm soooooooo curious to hear them |

Hey Funk,
To tell you the truth, I've always wired my modules (including 3 Mankati) with standard wiring (no shielded cable for audio connections). I just take the two wires for each connection (1 is the signal, the other is ground) and twist them together. I have seen people use shielded cable for audio panel connections, but I think you don't have as much of a problem with interference when the modules are mounted inside a metal case.
