I’m looking for a plug-in that will allow me to do phase/time correct panning on my DAW. The figure below shows the problem I want to address. The path from A to L is shorter than the path from A to R. The reverse is true for B. Common simple L/R amplitude ratio control is adequate but not ideal as human hearing uses both amplitude and phase/time delta to derive the position of a sound source.

If there is no such plug-in I need direction to an introduction to the VST API. The material I have thus far located is way too dense for me to start with.
