Need a supplier |

I'm looking for a parts vendor that is friendly to the DIYer i.e. small retail orders. Needs to be in the US.

Being in Canada, I'd go with Allied for their low international shipping rates, but If I was in the U.S. I don't see what would be wrong with mouser. _________________ " I went through quite a few trannies til I found one I liked" - Wild Zebra |

Thanks I did find and use Mouser. I was under the impression that Allied only dealt with businesses now-a-days. I might have gone with them for sentimental reasons I used them back in the early 60s -- sigh . _________________ The question is not whether they can talk or reason, but whether they can suffer. -- Jeremy Bentham |

Here's a few, other than Mouser and Allied. I just got some odds and ends from Allied. For some reason searching for things on Mouser's website seems awkward to me compared to some other sites.
http://www.digikey.com/
Amazingly fast, a bit expensive, probably the easiest place to find things.
http://www.futurlec.com/
Good prices. Ships from Bangkok but usually less than 1 week.
http://www.jameco.com/
Kind of spotty but has some unique products and cheaper than Digikey
http://www.smallbearelec.com/
Great source for certain things.
These are just my impressions and I don't order as much as many others here do. BTW there are plenty of other posts which discuss vendors. Try a few searches. |
