1) Doesn't seem to work with the Windows editor application. Has anyone had any luck with this? I get timeouts when trying to load from the PC to the BCR2000. The other direction works.
Any ideas anyone? |
You should be glad. That editor is an endless source of frustration.
I used it when I first got the BCR- and haven't touched it since. I don't even hook up the USB cable any more. I just use midi out.
As tedious as it is, I edit each controller manually.
I had asked tech support for the format of the sysex file for one patch, never got it.
1. There is an update for the USB driver for the BCR. Make sure you have that before trying ot use the editor.
2. Make sure you have the latest FW. There is only 1 update the last time I looked, (and they never implemented my suggestions.) |

Signed up to the yahoo group just to get my hands on that editor
But it takes a while before I'm let in or something and impatient as I am..
Does anyone care to share that editor ? Email it to me or is it available
somewhere else?
I'd appriciate it a lot!!!
(So I don't have to start experimenting with my java wich wokrs fine for other stuff) |

Be sure to register for the Yahoo group called BC2000. It's a great source of info. Somebody just released a new graphical editor for the BC. Once you become a member, go to the files section and download the BC Manager program. It works. You don't need BCEdit, nor should you waste time with it - it is a disaster. _________________ --Howard

Hi guys! I am new here so Hi to everyone
I saw that topic on Google. And I wanted to also add my question and I sorry if it becomes like off topic.
Anyway - I am using also a BCR2000 but I have a strange problem. No matter what drivers I use on the XP (Laptop) it always just starts and then stops receiving MIDI data after few seconds. I have MIDI-OX and I monitor that with it, i dont even get into Ableton Live when it starts working because until I load the file it already had stopped. I hope that someone will have a wise word about it because I am really in a bad shape - that night I have the first gig of my new tour and I have to play Live, but with that problems I am really really messed up... |
