Hi ,

Sorry if this the work section

First post complete noob - please excuse

I want to know how to build a splitter that will do whats ilustrated in the the below picture.I want to be able to plug a guitar or synth in have the signal split in to the positive and negative of the wave form and have each of these going to its own out put- then i can process the + and - indvidually

I can do this with software using wave shaper plugins and i have read that this technique is used in distortion pedals etc.

If anyone knows how to build a simple waveshaper or other effect that can do this please tell. My abilty is limited but i have a few peops who can help me.

welcome Waveshaper,

My suggestion is : http://www.tonmeister.ca/main/textbook/node415.html - reverse the diodes for the positive going variation.
