Hi Folks.

Just have my Nord Rack II about 24 hours now and so far I'm very pleased with it.
However I am having some teething problems, while I work my way through the manual.

Firstly, it doesn't seem to be responding to pitch/mod wheel messages.

This was working yesterday. I suspect I messed up some settings when fiddling with it. Rolling Eyes

Another problem I'm having is layering programs.

(At the moment I'm using the headphone out into my soundcard, until I get some proper cables.)
I can't figure out how to get it to respond the way the "trigger button" works. - for example ...

- If I have all channels set to 1, I hear them all when I play my (Juno D) keyboard, no matter what. If I set them to 1,2,3,4, I only hear A, even when I select program B/C/D.
I think it might be something to do with the output settings, but Id like to be able to select and play channels ABCD individually.
Performance mode isn't helping. - If a performance uses A+B for example, it continues to use A+B even if I activate C and D.

I'm sure there is a logical way to sort this out, but currently it is rather frustrating! Embarassed Mad

Thanks for reading, and especially for any replies.

Indeed Embarassed The NordLead always reacts to Midi, unless it's set to 'off'. I haven't the Maual in front of me, neither the synth, but it is rather complicated. I never spoke Clavia about it, but I think during designing the synth they had in mind the rack and the keyboard were planned to be separated (back stage), so the musician had to change the Midi channel on stage (rather then back stage) to switch Slots, which all has to have different Midi channels. So use the Juno D for changing Slots...

It looks difficult, but wait until you want to make a Program Change! Very Happy
