Full descriptions for each of them are posted in the Schematics section of my web page at:

These are the exact circuits that I'm using in my up'n'coming Quadatrix Sequencer. (4 x 4 step matrices of semitone and octave rotary switches)

More info. on it as the semitone version is finished. (Hopefully by the end of this week. 1 single 4 step test unit was completed and was working perfectly to 1V/octave. Smile )

that's quite nice.

any reason why you used 30.1k and not i.e 100k resistors? i can't see it right now.

Over the years I've seen recommendations for any value between 10k and 100k. And amoungst the 50 to 100 thousand resistors I got from 'write off' at work, the 30k1 1%'s were the first ones that I came across, within that range. (Between 3 and 5 thousand of them.)

That's the only reason. Smile On my web page, I state the 10k to 100k recommendation.

Once I've got this first panel working (the Octaves one is coming later), I'll get my final test done on the Liquid Hihat. This desire though (controllable sequencer) has been burning in my heart's desire for 26 years as of this Summer. And it's ALMOST attained! Smile Smile
