My DIY SEKU Sequencer |
 |
|
I finished this SEKU sequencer sometime over the summer- Its a 16X2 sequencer with pulse outputs on each step and a dedicated gate buss. The panel was done on a piece of milky-white poly-carb that I coated with a black paint- the graphics were then relieved from the paint with a cnc machine. I made 4 custom backlights to shine light through the graphics and light up the panel.
It took waaaaay too long to finish this (mainly because of the panel) and although I think the panel looks fairly cool, I think next time, i'll opt for a simpler, utilitarian panel over something more....er.....gimmicky. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on a set of klee boards next run....one can never have too many sequencers!
All in all, a pretty easy and fun build, though. And integrated very well with my setup.

Actually, they are just LED's attached to diffusion panels- nothing fancy, but they did the job quite well draw very little current. You can notice that the top right quadrant of the panel is a bit dimmer than the rest of the panel- I never got the whole thing smoothed out completely. I was gonna do a full frac rack of modules with backlighting, but it became very clear after completing this project that there just isn't any thing like a sturdy metal panel.
Thanks for the kind words |
