Today I heard some demosongs from Nord Lead 3.
My first question is, whether the sounds of the Lead 2X are similar to those of the Lead 3. Can the Lead2X produce songs like "Analogue part one" by Dan Lind (on http://www.clavia.se/MP3s/index.htm#lead2 ) ?

My second question concerns the Arpeggiator. In the Lead 3 it can be played with all 4 slots at the same time, that means 4 Arpeggios at the same time. Is this possible with the Lead 2X?

Some of them... The Nordlead3 sounds due to its DA-converters more defined then the NordLead2.

Yes, each Slot can use its own Arpeggiator. The NordLead3 Arpeggiator has more possibilties (like silencing steps), but NO Midi out... ouch!

Dear Wout,
thanks for the information about the Arpeggiator, which is fine.
But what dazzles me a bit at the moment is the following:
I mentioned the demosong "analogue part one" from Dan Lind, made with the Lead3. At the beginning and within this song are very nice string- and other pad sounds. Can the Lead 2x produce such pads too?

As I wrote in yhe PM I send you, Dan Lind uses very good FX modules in his studio, although the sound is very much Nordlead3. I describe it as a 'tube-like' sound.
The NordLead2X is very capable to sound very beautifull, although the Lead3 has a special Unison (It also doesn't steal voices Smile).
