Hello all

Does anyone know how to divide the keyboard (nordwave) in to 2 different patches. For example the upper keys play piano while at the same time the lower ones play the strings

I know its possible but i could not figure it out.

I tried the Manual, but can't find anywhere.

I should say, using samples you can assing a sound to a range of keys, so that's one way to do this, I think...

(who can be wrong, though)

Sound strange to me, but next week I will visit Per Wikstrom in Stockholm and he plays the Wave, so, it may take a week to answer Smile

Hey guys,

the thing is, you cannot divide the nord wave's keyboard by setting a split point. there's no such thing, i.e. the keys only transmit on one midi channel.
You could attach a second keyboard an set two different midi channels for each slot.
The other way is to set the keyboard morph control for slot A from min to max and the one from B from max to min. The result is a mix of both sounds in the middle of the keyboard and one sound each on the very bottom/top of the keyboard.

Hope I could help
Best wishes,
Sascha

Yeah.. you can't really do that. You could map different samples to different sections of the keyboard using the wave manager though. You could have the keyboard split into 5 seperate samples or even a different sample on each key if you wanted.

I thought I would be dissapointed with the lack of this feature, but I think the alternatives work out for the best.
