I stupidly sold my Nord Rack 2X last year after buying a Prophet 08. Not that the P08 was a bad purchase, but I regretted selling the 2X as soon as packed it in the box. Sad So, I was ready to buy another 2X last month when I came across a great deal on a Nord Rack 3, so I figured I'd give that a shot first and, well, I love it. I honestly didn't think that I'd like it as much as the 2X (or NL2, or NL1 - I've owned all of them!), but I really like the sound of it, the screen, and those knobs. Anyway, I'm happy again for the first time in months and thought I'd share my joy. Cool

Congratulations! you got a really nice synth.

At first I didn't like the sound of it, compared to the Nord Rack 2X, since the last sounds much more aggressive an defined, but in the end I sold the 2X (had to get some cash...). It's my favorite synth, even more than the G2. It's like instant success!

I got a Mopho recently, and while it sounds great, editing is extremely tedious Sad

One gets used to the Nord Rack 3 and there is no way back...

I agree. I wanted an NL2 but ended up buying a Nord Lead 3 when a guy offered it to me for a good price. Initially I though about selling it with some profit, but once I started really using it, it became one of my favorite synths. Extremely intuitive and flexible soundwise. It does get buried a bit in the mix when used along analog synths, but it's just a matter of carving its way into the mix with the EQ. Now it's become one of those synths I don't plan on selling anytime soon.

I've got a Mopho as well and I love it! Do you have the free editor from Soundtower? It makes editing a lot easier. Also, they are supposed to be releasing a VST version of the editor any day now (see the DSI website).

Same here - I'm loving it! How ya been, fac? I haven't seen you around the P5 forums in a while. How's your daughter? Any new additions (babies or synths? Very Happy )

It's all going pretty well, thank you. My daughter is one of the reasons I don't visit the P5 forum so often, but another reason is that I had a strong case of hardware lust.... again. Last year I bought and sold a ton of gear, aiming for a set that could allow me to make music in less time. I have to admit I had little success, though, since I ended up with even more gear than I had before. But I got some really nice synths, including: Oberheim Matrix 6R (I'm really liking this fellow), Wavestation A/D (I had an SR once, sold it, and missed it ever since), and of course, the Nord Lead 3. And this year, I'm finding much more spare time for music and I'm already working on my next "album".
