Subject description: Nord Sampler Instruments load into Nord Sample Editor?

Hey,

I play a NORD Wave and know that you can split the keyboard only by creating an own new sampler instrument with different new samples mapped on different keys.
And I probably think it is not possible to load Nord Sample Instruments into the Nord Sample Editor, or does someone figure it out???
Would be a great help, because then you were able to create splits with preset sounds.
Or does anyone know how to get pure samples out of the .nwi Data?

welcome Tobias

I waited a while to see if somebody else would answer the Wave question.
All I can say: "I don't know..." Crying or Very sad

I hope a Waver will chime in very soon.

Hey... doesnt matter... I'm sure that some other Waveplayer have similar questions and maybe found an answer... and it seems that there are not that much musicians playing the Wave...

Well, I don't know any figures, but reading the internet one can say it's not going wild, like the Electro3 or the NordLead2 in the past. Makes me wondering why...
First of all Clavia designs synth to be used on stage to be used by the performing musicians: beautiful (some say 'sexy'), sturdy build and easy to use (the famous interface) instruments. And they sound very good.
At the other hand not many musicians like to spend hours behind their synthesizer to investigate, to learn and try making sounds. Talking to NordLead users I found out most of them create sounds by scrolling through the factory presets until they found a sound very near, which they tweak to get it right, mostly by trial and error. When they don't succeed they come to me Smile
So there is a kind of limitation at the side of the users and the Nord Wave is already beyond that limitation.
As the sample abilities of the Wave concerns, the Electro3 will be its largest competitor...

hey Wout... just have been away some time, and I think you're right... The Wave has a lot to give, but you have to explore this instrument. Even if you know how the components work, there are some nice "surprises" in modulation and routing possibilities. And there are some (sad?!?) limitations (as the topic I wrote Wink ) like can't split the keyboard... etc. This would make a lot more things/setups possible, espessially for live performances.
Hope there will be someone who has similar "sorrows" and has some helpful ideas...
btw: is there a Wave Soundpool, or patch sharing topic, site, forum, whatever you know, but I don't? Wink

I don't have a Wave neither a NE3, so you have to open it yourself.
If you want we could maker such a thread as a 'sticky', so it will be in the beginning of the Forum.

If there are more users we could start a special Wave forum in the future.
Of course I'll support as much as possible.

Hi,

I'm sorry but I do not have an answer to your question either,
but I would support a sticky Wave-Patch-Sharing Thread or a Forum! Very good idea!

Regards,

Marcel

Hey that sounds good.
A sticky topic would be a good start, and then we have to wait how many people will start to share an visit.
