I'm completely new to electronics and have started buying parts for a filter. On electronic component sites, I'm confused as to what the voltage of the capacitors should be. For example, on my part list, it just says 220pf for one of the capacitors, but then when I go to buy it, all the capacitors have a specific voltage.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this kind of stuff, but if anyones knows, please help!

Make sure that the voltage rating of the cap is at least a third more than what your circuit will be running. It's not really an issue to have too large a voltage rating on the cap - So if you have a 12 volt circuit your caps could be 25 or 50 volt and it'll be just fine.
