Thanks a lot! I´ve been lurking in this forum for a year or so, and have learned A LOT! These are some of the synths in my home studio. |

ok, here is mine current live rig.
the left g2 has the master clock and it's midi out is merged with that of the right G2 which then goes into both the x0xb0x and then the blofeld.
the x0x and blofeld (synth lines and samples) can be sequenced from either G2 (master sequencer or aux sequencer), the drums and sub synth are sequenced in the left g2.
i really like using 2 g2 panels together in sequencer modes making it easier to work/edit multiple sequencers on the fly to drift them in and out of each other melodically or rhythmically speaking.
Note, the rs7000 not being used leaning against the wall behind the stand. Note, I am using MIDI only from 2nd G2 (see studio shot, right inset picture). the laptop is used for the g2 editor and is not used live.
I love my current studio space, since I am in a house with no neighbours next to this space, meaning I can crank it up! My girlfriend is very supportive of my music, making it easy to get creative.
Also, I have a nice draft when you open the window, going through the house (from the west and east side), but the window is west facing meaning I have to use blinds during the afternoons ...
Funny, how far I have come since having my "gear closet" (for those who remember my posts from those days) which only had enough room for 1g2 and a rs7000, but funny enough again I could fit my gear in it if I still had it today, but it would not be ergonomic
Now I have been thinking GAS recently, but can't justify getting anything else. That's good.

nice to see the face behind the teddy bear
nice g2 key under your 808, and I see an elektron as well, sweet...
I totally agree about ergonomics and putting the g2 and your monitor between the speakers. This is exactly what I do with my 2nd g2 which is always between the speakers
Only when I utilize both G2's and the x0xb0x and blofeld, I move my left speaker beyond my rig on the left. yeah the phasing may be different, but it's live pa, so in the end as long as the sounds are coming from the right speakers, it's all good

Nice!
Cool picture you stiched together there.
Those are some big-ass speakers for that room.
Love all the posters on your wall.
Have you seen the book "Mathographics"? It teaches you how to construct those images using a rule and compass. I'm working my way through it. Great book! |

Here's the "home" of the forum for G2 related stuff:
http://electro-music.com/forum/forum-43.html
Below that, you'll find sub-directories for completed patches are the usual place, but there's also directories to put ideas in the works, building blocks, or self-running noodles, etc. |

Richard!
Recently I've tweaking a preset sound named HipHop beat box, I think it's one of your sounds, or at least it says so
Would be great to have new sounds from you in the library. _________________ Cheers,

Hi Richard, nice to see you here. I'd love to try some of your patches - I had an old one from Mother Misty called machine code. He mentioned that it was based on one of yours - definitely remember that it sounded very tight.
Looks like a crazy place to work with infinite possibilities all around you.
If you just wanted to make a simple, pretty piece - what gear would you gravitate towards? Or what's your "desert island" kit?
Thanks for showing us your studio!

Nice Clavia collection. What kind of (analog) modular is that? And... is that an Arturia Origin? _________________ My music: http://cdbaby.com/all/fac |
