Listened to the first hour - great stuff! You manage to cram in new kinds of sounds and different styles each time - how do you manage? Loved the ambient sounds.

Thank you so much, Bill, Jez and Stefan, I really appreciated the comments in the chat too.
And here's the show archive.
Show 11, June 12, 2009
Ambient... Experimental... Funk... wait, what? ...
A few mood changes. A few notes:
That's a squeaky door sample being heavily modified in the Neuron, many thanks to Muied Lumens for capturing it and posting it in the Ambient Recordings forum. Likewise, the gibbon is provided with the kind courtesy of Modulator ESP. Hope they are entertaining.
The rest is just what passed through. These shows are done live, they kind of have their own flow, and even if I ran the programmed parts again, it would likely sound different because of the feel of the moment.

Yeah, only caught the end of it, which sounded great. Going to listen to the rest later.
Have a nice trip!

As you may have noticed Paul went over the pond for a couple of weeks, meaning some others will use the Ephemera time to stream their things. July 10 it was my turn, and I was honored to fill the gap there. Gives one a better feeling for what it means to come up with a 2 hour show weekly ... I thought I had planned stuff but after about half an hour I ran out of prepared ideas and had to improvise a bit ... anyway, it was fun to do ... but every week ...
Thanks to those who listened!
The remaining schedule will be :
July 17 - Modulator ESP
July 24 - Muied Lumens
August 3 - Modulator ESP
and after that Paul will be back, have a good holiday Paul!
Oh .. and in my nerves, it must have been that, I forgot to hit record ... so that was truly ephemeral _________________ Jan

I'm happy that you got to improvise, since it sounded real good. I think you managed to get a lot of different moods in throughout the 2 hours - a great performance!

I agree. I got to hear it - in fact I'll get to hear all the performances since we have real internet here at the cottage by the sea after all. Jan, that was a great performance. I especially liked the "On the Run" section. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Thank you Shane.
And looking forward here too ... but the 24th will be troublesome ... being in Ireleland then with very restricted internet access, if at all. _________________ Jan

Show 15 on July 9th was done by Jan, but he didn't record it, so it is destined to be truly ephemeral.
Show 16 on July 17 was excerpted from a performance on July 3rd by Modulator_ESP and EdisonRex - and can be found in that topic.
I think Jez did a great edit, he caught a couple of vignettes showing where each of us added to the jam. Jez tends more towards dark ambient, and I tend towards melodic ambient, and it made for some interesting combinations.
I am having a much needed holiday rest, and have a few ideas to try out for when I am back. In the meantime, Muied Lumens and Modulator_ESP will cover the next two show slots. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

I will. Boldly. Where no rob has gone before... I think...
It will be fun! And chaotic, possibly, as I have no clear plan. _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

Thank you! The singer is Harjit Singh, a good friend of mine. We will be doing something more in the future, but your past, reversed in time and in a parallel reality - if everything goes to plan... _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

Show 18, August 7, 2009
Mostly Minor. This is as a tribute to Jez, who as I found out plays mostly in minor keys.
I'll dig up the missing shows later today and post references or the shows themselves.
