NL2X: Layer or Performance mode problems when changing slots Subject description: it affects the sound like I had put the LFO's at maximum rate... ! |
 |
|
Hello everybody,
I am new here.
Sorry for disturbing you but nobody could help me yet !
I have a strange problem which appears from time to time on my Nord Lead 2X. This synth is almost new (only 2 months).
I try to explain. For example, I play in "Layer" mode or in "Performance" with slots A, B (or A, B, C or the 4 together it is not important), everything is OK, the sound is good. BUT when I change the slot by pressing on another knob, everything goes wrong (but not every time).
For example, sometimes when I push the B button (or C or D or A, it is not important too), the sound is horrible like if I had put the LFO 2 rate at the maximum... Awfull ! It also affects the others slots simultaneously... Or sometimes when I modify the sound from a slot the sound from the others also changes.
Please help me because I am so sad to have such a problem on this wonderful synth.
Thanks.

Is the synth connected to a computer or hardware sequencer or controller keyboard by Midi?
Is there any Midi connected?
If not and you are using the NordLead2X stand alone it is surely broken. It could be a warranty case…
If there is Midi, what to where?

Thanks Wout for your answer.
I use the Nord Lead 2X alone, nothing is connected, so no Midi external sources.
Could the problem perhaps come from a bad setting in the "special fonctions" (shift+....) ? |

Could the problem perhaps come from a bad setting in the "special fonctions" (shift+....) ? | [Shift+...] set how the synths reacts to the outward world, like synbing to MidiCllock and the Pedal. That's why I asked about cobbections like Midi...
I think it's broken.
EDven when it appeard to be a bad pot (LFO rate... ?), it has to be replaced.
