another little problem with NL1 |
 |
|
Hello i'm back again, thank you for the answer in my last question, now i dont have anymore that problem.
I noticed anyway another problem:
sometimes when I'm starting the keyboard the programs I've saved before in the Program Slots (A, B, C, D) are all reset to 1, 1, 1, 1.
What it could be?
Thank you |

Sorry i've explained my problem badly.
I mean when I'm playing the keyboard, I'm using for example the program n°56 on Slot A, then I set the n°68 on the Slot B, the n° 43 in Slot C and the n°10 on Slot D, when I shutdown the NL sometimes when I restart the keyboard I have the program 1 on the Slot A, the program 1 on the Slot B, the program 1 on Slot C and the program 1 on the Slot D. But this doesnt appears every time, just sometime, most of time when I restart the keyboard I have the setup I had when i've shutdown it. |

I don't know what makes the synth switch to #1...
Maybe there is some Midi data coming in which is resetting the synth? Try it without Midi cables connected...

I dont have any MIDI device connected. When I'm starting it an "E" appears always on the display, but just at start, maybe an error? |

No, it means the Expansion board is placed.

Hi.
When my NL1 doesn't completely freeze upon power-up, it displays 2.6 then E, then starts up. First, Theres nothing in the dusty card slot. What's weird is it turns off MIDI control of LFO's and ruins this 1 patch that uses them. Is it a bug I've created, or did I get ripped-off on craigslist?
Thanks. |

If so, it's expanded, even when you haven't inserted a card. | Quote: | | What's weird is it turns off MIDI control of LFO's and ruins this 1 patch that uses them. | Special functions aren't saved in Program mode, only in Performance mode [See Manual page 56], which is only to be saved on a PCMCIA card, which, I believe, isn't inserted. So, no strange behavior. | Quote: | | Is it a bug I've created, or did I get ripped-off on craigslist? | This I can't tell you, if you are ripped-off. It's up to you to decide this. I am only trying to help you with some of the disappointments and frustrations: you expected something and until now this isn't there yet!

Thank You - it is no longer freezing at power-up.

Just a (empty) slit in the case labeled: PCMCIA slot.
I assume all I need is one of those little cards, and not some special expansion case to hold a card.
I still displays 2.6 then E on startup. I swear it didn't do that before.
This is an amazing machine. I can't wait to find a card and some new pots for it.
Thanks for the help WoutBlommers! |
