Pitch stick problem ?! |
 |
|
When i use the pitch stick, the sound bend but don't come back when i stop using it. I suspect the pitch to lose calibration. It's annoying ! I can't use this fabulous stick anymore !
Have you seen this before ? Does a solution exist ? |

Others have reported this problem as well, the solution is to replace the pitch stick. It might be possible to order one through the shop where you bought the synth and do the replacement yourself - I believe others did so. _________________ Jan
also .. could someone please turn down the thermostat a bit.

...might this be the same problem when the pitch-stick just doesnt do anything anymore (as well as the Mod-wheel)? - probably not, but if yes i'd be grateful for a hint...
TIA. |

That would sound more like a loose cable ... maybe open the synth to see if you can find any, maybe pull some connectors and push them back on ... _________________ Jan

the stick is very easy to replace if you can do basic soldering, but they aren't cheap - between about 70 and 100 euro including post if my memory serves correctly - the stick is really the most amazing pitch stick I've ever come across - the floyd rose of pitch sticks - but the design is a bit on the crap side - it's a pressure sensitive resistor (which is essentially a piece of tape with a circuit inside) stuck onto a piece of flexible metal - basically the resistor comes partially unstuck and doesn't track properly if the stick has been over-wanked - the worst thing is that when it goes wrong, the pitch of the synth can start wildly and randomly fluctuating, even when not using the stick at all - so once it starts going wrong it needs replacing - fortunately all the pitch sticks nord use are the same (aside from the length of the wires - the g2 uses shorter ones than the lead) so for now we don't need to worry about stocking up on replacements before they're all gone - |
