LFO start on 1 NL 2x Subject description: How do you get LFO to restart every time? |
 |
|
So I have synced the BPM rate on the LFOs ( for nord lead 2x) to my drummer. Why does the LFO not reset and start over at count one every time i hit a key? The rythm seems to be on its own clock and pressing key just starts wherever it happens to be at that moment. HOw do i change this?
thanks |

Obviously, I'm a new comer to the Nord. Does my question make sense? Any answers out there?
I play in a band that is only vocal, Nord, and real drummer. I need to line up LFO stuff with my drummer's metronome. I dont use a sequencer or any other synths for this project. |

I think you can't do this on the NordLead. There is no re-set trigger option or something like that. You can sync the LFO's to a Midi clock signal, but you'll need an incoming Midi signal of a Midi clock.
At http://electro-music.com/forum/phpbb-files/bpm_170.htm you will find a list of the BPM of the NordLead LFO's. To set those values, first press [Shift+LFO1 wave form] to see every knob movement in the LCD screen. To return to normal screen press the same combination again.
So using a Saw or Pulse in LFO1 the drummer synchrfonise to the Lead, but that is still no re-triggering the LFO...

| Thank you for the reply! I tried running midi clock through an Alesis Micron but I had the same problem. In fact, Running midi clock through the Micron also caused the Nord's arpeggiator to run on its own and not reset when pressing keys. This problem went away with the arpeggiator when I disconnected midi clock but remains with normal LFO. I wonder if there is something different about using the Micron as a midi clock generator? I'm not all that familiar with sequencers. Perhaps i'll try running midi clock with an MPC instead and see if that works. I just hate the idea of dragging along an MPC every gig only for the sake of using it as a midi clock generator. Oh well. |
