Tonight will be some further experimentation in sonic landscaping, yet pretty abstract and improvised, so I don't know quite what will happen.

Featuring the recorded voice of Lucy. Wink

Lucy is a good friend of mine, and a wonderful person. We are like brother and sister.

and here is the recording for anyone who missed it

I ended up using the BoardWeevil, VSS-30 and SK-1 for sounds, through Frostwave Resonator for filtering, looped via Repeater, then through DD-20 for stereo panning delay and Wedge for huge reverb Smile

The VSS-30 was used to sample the BoardWeevil to get chords and the circuit bent SK-1 was used for chaotic alien sounds and weird percussion

I'm still getting to grips with the SK-1 and occasionally completely lost control of it, but it was still fun

Enjoyed the show Jez, and I particularly liked the way you described your setup for the show, that helps the rest of us learn from your experience. Thanks!

Tonight is a very simple set, consisting of my iTouch as source and Ambiloop software to record loops on the fly.

Not sure as to what apps I will be using yet, but i'll try and remember and mention it after the fact.

Before I forget: The apps used to create this show were the following - Gliss (with custom samples), NLog synth, Jasuto Pro, Toplapapp and Star6 - and of course, Ambiloop (a free windows application) with up to 200 second long loops.

I hope you enjoy(ed) listening as much as I enjoyed playing! Smile

Thank you Shane! Smile

My setup was the following: iPod into Echo Audiofire 4, which is a firewire interface, and which also acts as a mixer, mixing the output of Ambiloop on the computer, then going back into the native sound card to be streamed through edcast.

I think tomorrow's set will feature my newly expanded NM1, some live sampling using my VSS-30 and my ipod touch apps as instruments and sound sources for sampling

tonight's went entirely not to plan, but worked out pretty well and I had fun

the drone start was just an idea that came to me whilst setting up, it was the same patch as the leads later, aren't knobs cool

and the ending was just me having fun, re-programming sequences on the fly, playing in new notes

all in all a nice little adventure - download sometime tomorrow night as it's late now

This week's show consists of individual recordings done in RjDj on my iPod, on location (chatting with friends) and using an acoustic guitar. It has then been mixed together (with no further processing) in a DAW to create an hour of happy accidents, leaving the recordings pretty much where they fell.

Thank you audiodef. Smile

I'm unsure whether or not to post this week's show (episode 20) because of vague copyright notices on some of the scenes in RjDj - I will wait for confirmation before I do so. Rolling Eyes
