The Antimon Plays Some Doodles Show

Calendar Event: February 20, 2010

I'm going to play the tracks from an album I've put up on Tunecore a week and a half from now. Shane gave me a slot two hours before Chez Mosc (which means 21.00 GMT if I calculate correctly) on saturday the 20th of february. It will be an hour, maybe an hour and a half, since I'll be talking a bit inbetween the tracks about stuff.

I've been thinking about asking to try this for a while, and at the end of the first Chez Mosc last saturday, Howard mentioned that if people wanted to do a show or play a CD on the stream, that would be cool. So now I have no more excuses!

It's a lot of pop instrumentals, some verging on cheeziness, some a bit too guitarbased for comfort, but mostly on-topic I think. Doodles pretty much explains the concept - I tend to throw stuff together quickly and then do minor finishing touches before declaring it a wrap.

Fantastic, Antimon! I have really enjoyed your music that I have heard on the streaming radio station and am looking forward to your show!

By the way, I love the term "Doodles" for songs, tunes, or whatever other terms people have used--so much so that the collections of my personal electronic music which I put onto cassettes in the mid 1980s through early 1990s I called "Aural Doodles" (# 1, # 2, # 3, etc.).

Perhaps your show will inspire others (myself included) into doing similar shows here! Again, I am looking forward to "The Antimon Plays Some Doodles Show." (Hey, if I do a show can I call it "The Dr. Steve Plays Some Doodles Show?")
