Tweaking Piano Sounds on Electro 3 Subject description: Looking for ways / settings for improving piano sounds |

| Grand Piano sounds are ok on the Electro 3, but it really depends on what you're listening to them through - they still sounds processed and have that EP after taste so to speak...I understand how to download and install the various sounds patches, etc, and what each effects area does - guess I'm just hoping there's someone out here who has discovered something I haven't yet... I just want to produce that great acoustic piano tone that yamaha pianos get, and so far it just isn't happening... |

Have you changed the velocity levels? If not try that first.
If you like Yamaha DP sounds, buy a Yamaha. CP or equivalent. They do an excellent job with pianos. The piano sounds from the Clavia are good as well. Just different and generally not as bright. It's all a matter of preference. However no Yamaha has an organ patch that comes close to your Electro 3. So remind yourself what you bought the keyboard for. It's forte' is the Organ and EP sounds. |
