How do i load a single patch into my NordLead 3 ? Subject description: How do i load a single patch into my NordLead 3 ? |

Hi,
I haven't used my NordLead 3 in a while but i'm pretty sure i was able to load single patches (downloaded from the net & created by myself) into the NordLead by sending them from SysEx Librarian or Logic Pro. Now when i try it i get this message on the NordLead, " Snd Dump Ignored, Enable Rcv Mode ". Both PrgChg & MIDICtrl are set to Snd&Rcv, Local:Off, MIDI Global Channel:16, SysEX ID:All.
Can someone please tell me what to do?
Thanks |

I haven’t done it a long time either, but you have to see uploading one Program the same as uploading a complete Bank, only | Manual NordLead3 – page 142 wrote: | If the dump contained a complete Bank, it will replace the selected Bank in the Nord Lead 3. If the dump
contained only one Program/Performance, this will be put in the Slot, and replace the Program/Performance
currently loaded in that Slot/Slots. However, it is not saved permanently. To save it, use ‘Store’ or
‘Store as’ described on page 23 and page 36. | So you also have to select [Manual page 126] the Bank receive mode, which asks you to erase the Bank in the synth first.
I’m not sure you have to do this, but I think it won’t set into receiving mode without this.
I know, the Manual isn’t the best there is concerning this subject.
Anyway, I suggest you take one ‘not that important Bank’ and make a back up on the computer.
After that upload the single Program, which has to be placed in the buffer memory (Slot) automatically.
If it doesn’t work, erase the Bank and try it again.
Good luck!
Ehhh…
I don’t take any responsibility about losing important data.
In such cases I always start with a back up… (On my computer there are lots of those files

Hi Wout,
I've just noticed this only happens when i try to load patches which i dumped into SysEx Librarian and save as a SysEx file. Patches which i dumped into Logic and saved as a midi file load perfectly fine when sent to the nord from either Logic or SysEx Librarian. I guess il just have to save patches this way from now on. Thanks for your help. |

Sounds like an ID setting to me...
See [Manual page 122].
Can you read out the SysEx?
If not, send me a Program which doesn't load.
Als, if you are able to do this, read which ID you are using.
