I've just decided earlier this evening that finally, after years of wanting to, I'm diving head first into the PIC world. Smile

Lots to learn, but looking forward to it, majorly. Very Happy

Wish me luck! Laughing

Yes, yes! I too wish you good luck and a good time as well! I've had that itch from time to time, but time being what it is I guess that itch will remain unscratched. I'd love it if you'd post here as you proceed, updating us with your experiences and thoughts. So I can enjoy it vicariously Laughing

TY greatly. Smile I've had that itch for a LONG time, and now it's scratched. I just ordered their Pickit 3 express, along with 5 each of 2 different PICs. I'll definitely be posting about things that come about from me, with it. Very Happy I'm majorly looking forward to this. Very Happy

TY Jan. Smile From all that I've read / studied so far at Microchip and tutorial browsing, the Pickit 3 seemed to be the best start. Smile Lots of learning to do, but no worries. All the assembler code I've looked at so far, reads like English to me so ... I'm hoping it'll all be as easy as it looks. Very Happy

Make sure to read the Microchip errata ... there are some weird hardware issues now and then.

Thank you for that note! I had briefly glanced at some though - not yet knowing for sure what / where to refer TO, I didn't get much into it. Now, with the 2 MPUs that I've ordered, I'll be looking that up, as well. Surprised Smile
