Diving into the PIC world |
 |
|
I've just decided earlier this evening that finally, after years of wanting to, I'm diving head first into the PIC world.
Lots to learn, but looking forward to it, majorly.
Wish me luck! |

Thankee grandlee Jan! Fun it WILL be, as I've always loved programming. Marrying that to my Lunetta and modular worlds, will be, a new world of fun. Can't wait until my burner package gets here. Woohoo! Lots to learn, but, it'll be fun and an experience. |

Yes, yes! I too wish you good luck and a good time as well! I've had that itch from time to time, but time being what it is I guess that itch will remain unscratched. I'd love it if you'd post here as you proceed, updating us with your experiences and thoughts. So I can enjoy it vicariously _________________ The question is not whether they can talk or reason, but whether they can suffer. -- Jeremy Bentham |

TY greatly. I've had that itch for a LONG time, and now it's scratched. I just ordered their Pickit 3 express, along with 5 each of 2 different PICs. I'll definitely be posting about things that come about from me, with it. I'm majorly looking forward to this. |

TY Jan. From all that I've read / studied so far at Microchip and tutorial browsing, the Pickit 3 seemed to be the best start. Lots of learning to do, but no worries. All the assembler code I've looked at so far, reads like English to me so ... I'm hoping it'll all be as easy as it looks. |

Make sure to read the Microchip errata ... there are some weird hardware issues now and then. _________________ Jan

Thank you for that note! I had briefly glanced at some though - not yet knowing for sure what / where to refer TO, I didn't get much into it. Now, with the 2 MPUs that I've ordered, I'll be looking that up, as well. |
