For a project I'm working on, I need a voltage controlled pulse. The square wave pulse should be 10 microseconds long, but the periodicity I want to be voltage controlled, just like a normal VCO, but with the frequency doubled over what normal VCO's deliver.

Any pointers, tips or ideas on how to do something like this?

The switched capacitor filters in the ETI4600 synthesiser have a clock circuit something like you described - details herehttp://www.eti4600synthesiser.org.uk/ETI_Part6.pdf

This clock produces a pulse of 200 nanoseconds (0.2 microseconds) so you'd have to increase the capacitor value to get the range you need

Interesting article, thanks for that Slabman...

I think also Ken Stone's CGS Bi-N-Tic filter has the same feature?
