Installing Patches and Banks for the Waldorf Blofeld. Subject description: Loading patches. |

Im thinking of buying the New Soundsets 128 Bank by Rob Lee for the Waldorf Blofled but I haven't a clue how you load the bank onto the device.
Has anyone done this before and how easy is it and does it overwrite an existing bank?
Would be grateful for your coments..

You can load banks using a midi sequencer/player or even winamp, the bank will replace one of the existing banks
There's a nice librarian/editor here
http://lady.rdsor.ro/~kotro/forums.html?m=soft#blofeld
you can use this to back up your sounds _________________ Jez

you're welcome
I'm just discovering this all myself
the guy who made the editor also has a wavetable creator which looks interesting _________________ Jez

After looking into sound set installing and firmware updating I've read on other forums that people have had lots of problems updating their firmware to v1.15.
Also I'm not too keen on losing my existing banks when loading new sound sets, therefore I'm thinking about putting the unit away back in its box. There is no spare internal memory for extra banks which I think is this units biggest downfall, no real information in the manual how to load sound sets so I'm having to ask others.
Don't get me wrong the unit has some pretty good complex sounds but just abit too fiddly. Now looking for a good arppegiator machine like the KORG MICRO X..................nice sounds. _________________ Regards

You should try that editor librarian, it can help you organise your sounds and back them up
and without it you need something like MIDI-OX to store sysex dumps of patches and banks, which is much more fiddly _________________ Jez
