My project G. Zarapanecko is the primary project I use to explore electronic methods, whether through creating laptop sounds, or manipulating recorded acoustic sound, or through the use of pedals. I have utilized mics and pedals in live performance, and a more expansive array of manipulated sound primarily made in Logic Studio. A lot of electronic music is intuitive for me, and my background as a performer is primarily as that of an improviser, which gives a great deal of influence on my process in creating the music for G. Zarapanecko. Once some initial idea is down, I'll try and arrange or flesh out the idea with some compositional goal in mind based strongly around the original current or sketch. Sometimes this takes relentless trial and error, while sometimes the original idea is easy enough to work with that giving it more depth is not a struggle. In a lot of cases this has to do with extensive arranging of the sound, a process that is somewhat alien to me as much as I try to equate it to standard compositional processes. all this can be heard at:

But I like the idea of discussing composition in electronic music, since I feel like to some audiences the concept of a composer of electronic music is foreign. Especially when performance and interpretation is involved. Anyway, i'm quite glad to see that this discussion exists.
