Have you emailed schneidersladen for the schematics?

If it's about the cost of owning one, have you considered making a Triwave Picogenerator instead? They're much cheaper to make and the schematics are freely available Smile

OMG! ok, i am not interested in buy a schematics, i think must be open and free, specially if is a diy instrument. Anyway thank for the link but i am looking for a mini synth with more odds beahveur, i mean more unestable, chaotic and no-lineal. I really like the multiples imputs and outputs and feedback posibilities of the little boy.

thanks

That's pretty much what I was originally going to say. And I wouldn't blame her either. Smile

Or from her schooling at MIT and Stanford, which I believe generally have to be paid for.

Very Happy

Diy culture and community is based in proprietary knowledge or sharing and open the knowledge? The world is full of propietary knowledge, and why not contribute to open culture if you are working very close of this kind of contents. Also if you probably used this culture in your learning process.
my modest opinion

I think that is a debate which will be discussed again and again on electro-music.com.

If you're such a proponent of the "DIY Culture" why don't YOU develop a circuit and Give it away.

I have no problem buying circuit boards and kits from those who choose to sell their designs this way. I do not however, expect everyone to do so.
Many people have even published their designs on websites for us to use. If they sell a PCB, I buy it from them in order to help further their ability to continue to share.

Does your existence consist of doing purely volunteer work? I doubt it. You work for a living. If someone with less than you said "in the name of what I feel is right, you should give me your paycheck", would you feel compelled to do so? Some people choose to work in the form of starting a company and selling a product. We either choose to buy it or not. They owe us nothing other than to provide the product for which we pay.

Sorry to rant, but really detest the self-righteous left handed attempts at theft.

Some things to consider:

1. LBB is not a DIY project, it's a commercial product.

2. The DIY "culture" does not include stealing other people's work/property. Sharing and stealing are not the same thing.

3. You are posting on a DIY forum, specifically a sub-forum for DIY developers. Please explain your work as a developer and how you are contributing to the DIY "culture".

4. There is an incredible body of free DIY material available. Why are you not willing to use (or modify) what is available? It is disgusting to hear you whining that what you are given for free is not good enough.

5. You have no basis in fact to presume that everyone has obtained all their skills and knowledge from free material. That's just plain preposterous.

Ian,
1.-you are right, LBB is not a diy proyect, but i think it is not because it is a comercial one, it is because it's a closed one. Is like the software, you can sell your product and get money for living but you can choose to share the source code or not. If you chose to share the code that doesnt means you cant get money. comercial is not oposite to open.

2.-I post in this subtopic because i was searching for this specific schematics, but probably i am wrong and must be post in other subtopic, sorry.

3.-I am not saying i am a experimented DIY developer, There are many things i have to learn and that's why i post in this forum, looking for an specific schematic, to analyse and learn from it.

4.-I know there is a lot of cool and incredible open and free proyects in diy comunity, I really don't think that what is free is not good enough, please dont think that.

5.-you are rigth, i am presuming that she obtain skills from free material, but i think its no so crazy presume that part of her developed skill was thanks to the internet, like almost everybody in this issues.
