DSI POLY EVOLVER RACK USERS I NEED YOUR HELP!!!! Subject description: Troubleshooting |
 |
|
Ok this may sound like a weird question but for those that have a DSI Poly Evovler Rack If you have midi running in or out of the rack, when you power the rack on do you see any LEDs light up as soon as you start it? For example the Input Clip LED?
Any help would be great! |

Moved to the DSI area as well!
Back to the original question, have you emailed DSI? They are extremely helpful. |

I have and they have told me that they don't know if the unit is working correctly or not....kinda disappointing you think they would know something like this.
I have 2 Poly Evolver Racks connected to a Poly Evolver Keyboard.
When I turn on "Rack A" no LEDs come on for about 2 seconds then the program LED lights up.
When I turn on "Rack B" the input clip LED lights up for about 2 seconds then it goes off and the program LED lights up.
I have verified the input clip LED on "Rack A" does work.
I have also figured out that on "Rack B" the input clip LED only lights up if midi is connected to the unit, if it has no midi connected the input clip LED doesn't light up when the unit is started.
On "Rack A" regardless if midi is connected or not the input clip LED never lights up when the unit is started.
To me something sounds off if one unit does it but the other doesn't, these are both new units about 3 weeks old, but maybe they are working right and it just varies from unit to unit how sensitive the midi inputs are and if the input clip LED lights up when midi is connected, I'm not sure that's why I need help from you guys |

I haven't got a rack but does everything else seem to work?
Also have you got them connected via The chained midi? |

Everything else does seem to work and I have them chained together yes but even when I am just running a midi controller to "Rack B" I still have the input clip LED lighting up, which just seems odd why would it be receiving a signal that is of all things clipping when a midi controller makes no sound what so ever? |
