Would it work?..at all?...would it go boom?

Hehe, was kinda thinking of making a dual version of them and sticking them behind a Eurorack-panel...if this was possible..the size is no issue since im making my own Case and gonna make one of the rows deep enough for them..but im wondering if the CGS tube VCA will work on 12 +/-?

I'd just try it. The lower voltage is probably not going to hurt anything. Most "solid state" VCAs can work within a wide range of bipolar supply voltages. If it doesn't like 12V you could just save it for a special 15V panel. It should only cost a few dollars to make and not set you back too much.

I built a 12 volt version. using some resistor change suggestions Ken made on the Yahoo forum

I reduced the filament current limiting resistors from 1.5k to 1k2, and put a 20k pot in series with the 8k2 plate resistor to give variable currrent to the tube .

Works perfectly - fantastic tube warmth, and great distorition if fed back into itself. To make the feedback easier, build in an extra input and output as recommended on Ken's site.
