Nord refrigerator magnets! |
 |
|
Hi all,
Sorry if this is considered off topic or wrong subforum, but I thought a lot of you might want to know about this. I recently found out about someone in Australia who makes synthesizer refrigerator magnets. I ordered a whole bunch of them, and they are GREAT! They are high quality photo images printed onto some kind of flexible leathery magnetic material. My fridge is now the coolest appliance in the kitchen and my espresso machine is very envious.
Check out their ebay entry for a Nord Lead3 magnet:

You can order through Ebay, but to place an order for multiple magnets it's easier to email her directly at sushipunk@gmail.com. Her name is Belinda and she's a huge vintage synth fan. She's seen our photos from the last Modular Event and is totally into this stuff.
Out of curiousity, I sent her a second list of every obscure rare vintage synth I could think of (McLeyvier, Con Brio ADS200, Gleeman Pentaphonic Clear, etc.) and asked it she could supply magnets of any of them - and she's going to provide magnets for all 17 items on my list!
So if you want a Nord Modular G2 fridge magnet, I'm sure she would have no problem providing it (there - am I on topic now?).
Just for the record, I'm not getting anything out of promoting her service, I'm just a very very satisfied customer & wanted to spread the word to folks who might be interested. _________________ Dave Peck |

I copied this topic to the Wanted and For Sale forum.
Dave, how about posting a pic of your refridgerator, before the expresso machine goes after it... _________________ --Howard

Those magnets on eBay are a pain in the a$$. They've got them all over the place, and now you have to wade through a bunch of fridge magnet ads if you're looking for a cool vintage synth.
Sorry - not for me. I hope this fad will pass quickly! _________________ Electronic music fan |

I dream of the day when my fridge will look like a gigantic Propellerhead Reason rack (and when I open it I dream of seeing patch cables dangling between butter, tomato sauce, eggs, whatever....) _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Hmm, I can make such thingies. I have all the tools here at work. Now that is an idea. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"
