I wouldn't usually post a study that was constantly interrupted by questions from students in a lab session, but when I wound up intensively dreaming the color version of this thing the next night, I figured that it must have some kind of psychological validity. The more controlled study I did at home with cleaner technique today is much less interesting.

While we are on the topic, has anyone ever seen or used Adobe Illustrator plug-ins for generating fractals, L-systems, or the like? It's hard to understand why there are no built-in fractal generators.

The sign on the original says NO FOOD OR DRINK AT THE COMPUTERS. The second to last one - the blue shaded one - only says DRINK AT THE COMPUTERS.

Just don't get pulled over for compiling under the influence.

In addition, we are reading the sign from behind, so it should be mirrored, but it is not, because it is a dream.

Yeah, it appears that Photobooth flipped the original image left-to-right, because I part my hair (more or less) on the left, but in the photo it is parted on the right, let's see . . .

Yep, Photobooth does its own left-to-right reflection, which accounts for the sign being readable.

That time of year again, apparently. I won't be teaching this Photoshop/Illustrator course next year. I designed an Introduction to Creative Graphical Coding course in Processing that I'll start teaching instead. Should be fun. Very Happy

Here's the original. We use this earlier in the semester. I have been banging on it when I get bored with grading.
