Pictures I took as I installed this upgrade some time ago -- which was very simple to do. The old encoders were terrible, but since the upgrade, this thing has worked flawlessly.

and thanks for this thread. It's a bit of an eye-opener, I didn't know you got full circuit boards with the new pots mounted on them.

Hm it's a bit pricey, but maybe worth it. I'm starting to get really annoyed at my skipping encoders.

What does that cost to do? Mine aren't bad but I given the age of mine, I can see it happening.

Judging from what I've read online, you either had the dodgy encoder problem pretty much from the beginning, or you won't have it. It's obvious when it's as bad as it is with mine.

Not sure I remember correctly, but that price might not include the replacement knobs which I think were separate. Not inexpensive, but several of the old encoders on mine had become basically useless, so it was worth it to me.
