Well I've found myself here and I guess it's true what they say...
"Wherever you go, there you are"

So I've been producing music in some form or another since i was 15
and i'm 29 now
I'm mostly into sounds wrapped around breakbeats
that used to mean mostly dance music but not so much any more.

I'm really into ableton live and i've built myself a modest home setup
based around ableton and a couple midi controllers as well as my turntables and vinyl collection that i mostly sample from these days rather than doing the "dj" thing.

Find some music that I've made here:

http://zed.cbc.ca/go?~tabbedContent~tab=Content%20Tab&user_id=25886&c=contentPage&page=content&user=SpiralGrooves

anyways, it looks like theres a lot to be learned here so i'm gonna go into lurk mode and start assimilating some of this info.

see you all around the boards.

Also I think the built in spell checker is down right sexy.

That is all.

Peace
Spiral

welcome Spiral. Good to have you here...

There are a lot of Abelton Live users here, and breakbeat artists too. Check out Static Probe Emitter's stuff on his artist forum.

Hey, great. Nobody ever mentioned that before. Thanks. I wish people would use it. Laughing

Thanks for the warm welcome mosc.

I'll be sure to check out SPE for sure.

i'm always interested in new ways to break a beat :)

I'm a graphic artist and typesetter by trade so the spell checker really turns me on. Whenever i see misspelled words its like getting an ice pick jabbed in my brain hahahah.

It's at the bottom right hand corner of the text entry window...

I imagine once you notice it i'll probably be able to hear the sound of your hand slapping your forehead from where i'm at...

Shocked

First spellling nazi to actually be bothered by a jew!
(wow, that was in bad taste, what I meant to say was that there are complex issues with the correct selling of words and even names originating in languages that use a different alphabet, however, I secretly like bad taste. I also intentionally spelled "spellign" wrong but still hope you feel welcome.)

(realy).
