G1 Editor using Parallels |
 |
|
I've been running my G1 editor though a virtual machine (XP) on Snow Leopard. I've tried all the other ways of doing getting the editor to work and this method seems to be the most stable. However when switching from OSX to XP, the last thing i touched in the editor gets deleted!
Is anybody else suffering from the same bug, and if so is there a solution?

Do you mean the entire patch gets deleted?
Have you tried talking to parallels tech support?
I have W7 installed in Parallels on OSX, I could try installing XP>
I think I installed the native OSX G1 editor- but don't remember what the outcome was.
I need to get reconnected with my red boxes again. _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |

Free VirtualBox does the job too |
 |
|
Hi,
I'm using VirtualBox on OSX to host Windows 7 32-bit and it does a good job running the editor with no side-effects.
Using a midisport 2x2 dedicated to the NM host communication.
I did not install any osx-drivers for midisport, but mapped it to the VirtualBox as "unknown".
This seems to work pretty well, but of course it is far from eprfect that you need to run two OS'es just to get your gear working.
It would be nice to get a natice osx-application for this, but don't hold your breath.
