Sound Painting, and other wierd science music making tools.. |

I was reading a UK-published mag recently that had information on "OOBIE" or object-oriented input environment tracking! What I mean is, it is a scripting-type programming language that is used to sculpt completely new sounds. The article I read had some freeware and commercial offerings, and i am looking into these more fully as we speak. Imagine it, able to HAND CODE a song!

Imagine that!
I don´t trust that modern nonsense, next they´ll be using voltage controll, then where will we be?
(sorry)
Pure Data is also free and does run on Windows without giving a default amount of errors the readme instructs you to ignore.
Max/msp is not free at all but it *is* reported to have very good documentation and it eats arbitrary usb input and it´s hipper then shirts that look like they were bought in a thriftstore or buttons advertising 8 bit games. _________________ Kassen |
