Hi Matthias,
seems that I missunderstood which PCP's I need. So the Eurorack panel is only for the pots, and jacks...yes, in this case I need:
1x circuit PCB
1x front panel components PCB
1x front panel
thanks,
Claus

seems quite confusing, no? this is just because we wanted to have generic PCB that could be used for builds in all formats (MTA-100 headers, manual wiring), and later on the eurrack people (a strong lobby) voted for an additional front panel components PCB (no wiring, easier for newbies).
and in the end i decided to provide a front panel as well...

that's fine. I prefer too frontpanels and frontpanel PCB's. I have to buy a frontpanel anyway (if not, it does not look good, I have two left hands with ten thumbs). And putting the things together is allways the tricky part... at the moment I have here the Liquid HiHat, and with panel and PCP I have to get some brass, cut it a.s.o. to make an angle to bring the things together....

Hi Matthias,

Could you tell us the reference number or model of the pots and jacks needed for the eurorack pcb?

If there are no rare parts or plastic shaft pots, I think it will be great not having to do the wiring...

Thanks!

for the pots i used 9mm Alpha (mouser, smallbear, banzai et. al.). i ordered 9mm Alps, they should arrive tomorrow. i think they will fit, too.

the jacks are PJ-301B. you get them from
Erthenvar (USA)
or
Thonk (Europe)

Having read the thread more carefully, I'd like two eurorack PCBs in addition to the two circuit PCBs and the two Euro front panels.

i finished the 2nd prototype tonight (the new one with the eurorack front panel components PCB). first i had a short (did not cut legs properly), then i found a trace missing, which i had to bridge, and eventually i lowered R27 by mounting a 33k in parallel, thus the PCB looks a little bit worn out, hehe. anyways, the boards you order will be 100% correct (nomissing traces).

Will you be offering tempcos for this? I find these things near impossible to source...

i recently bought 100pcs from pata for 40 yen each (~40c)!

his page is here: http://www.mmslab.jp/parts.html

the page is in Japanese, nevertheless, english is fine for email communication and he is a really nice guy. he provided me with tracking information from the japanese postal service via email. paypal is ok. hover your mouse over one of the links on the page to get his email address (3rd from the top)

the tempcos available are

LT16S102F33 (1k)
LT16S202F33 (2k)

the component# breaks down as
LT - type
16 - 0.167W (1/6W), enough for tempco duties
S - package, common through hole resistor
102 - 1k
F - 1% tolerance
33 - 3300ppm/C

datasheet: http://www.akaneohm.com/catalogue/LT.pdf

(thanks to andrewF for the hint!)

He is a great guy, I put through a big order with him recently and he shipped it bar one NE5534 that was out of stock. He sent that NE5534 in a tiny, tiny package a week later at his own expense. You can't ask for more than that.

He also has some Akaneohm 1.87K tempcos in stock! I only found out after my order went through and I have a pile of the big KRLs from the recent group purchase now anyway.

Cheers,
A.

A quick question, has anyone used standard mail, or is it recommended to use "registered" at an additional 410JPY?
