MFOS 16 Step sequencer with YuSynth Modular Gate Issues |
 |
|
Hi,
So I'm having a problem using the gate switches on my MFOS 16 step sequencer when using the Yusynth ADSR v.2. When I turn a gate pulse off on the sequencer the ADSR still sends out a gate pulse, which sometimes sounds slightly different then when the gate switch is on. I know the sequencer works as I have used it with other modulars.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Thanks! |

Check the GATE voltage provided by the sequencer and make sure that <hen OFF the output level is under 1V. The ADSR module contains a schmitt trigger that has a low threshold therefore if the GATE is not 0V it may trig the ADSR.
Otherwise check that the ground of the sequencer is connected to the ground of the ADSR. _________________ Yves |

Thanks for the reply.
Since the ADSR and sequencer are two separate units they don't share a common ground.
Is it possible to add something to the gate in on the ADSR as to reduce the gate pulse in order to solve the problem?
Thanks again! |

By common ground I mean that there 0V should be connected together (shield of jacks) _________________ Yves |

So could I run a banana jack from the sequencer ground to the ADSR ground?
Thanks again! |

Hey,
So I tried running a wire from the sequencer ground to the ADSR ground and still no luck. I have the ADSR wired up to the long version.
Any other ideas? |

Can you measure the voltage of GATE output of your sequencer when ON and OFF ? _________________ Yves |
